 After two games of Strikes, Gutter balls and the occasional Bumper seen, we all headed to Showdown alley (lane 1) for the Team Bowl off. Vision Vs Sorted Vs Eternal.

For the final Event, only the brave stepped forward, individuals putting reputations on the line for the sake of their team.  Stars were born and heros created, but not even a heroic lone strike from the one they call ‘butcher’ could save Team Vision from going down to Sorted’s might. But will it be enough when the final results are tallied!?!? All will be revealed!

Included in our Easter program this year is a presentation by Pastor Craig Fox from our Sunshine Coast assembly on The Power of God – Are you connected? Pastor Craig and his family are regular visitors to our Easter camp. He has been involved in the ministry for many years now and can testify/speak about experiencing the Power of God personally and in his own family and assembly as can all members of the Revival Centres International

You will be made welcome at the main hall Sawtell Beach Caravan Park, Easter Saturday at 11:00 am.

Saturday night saw the annual Masterchef night. The venue of choice was the sensational Camberwell Electrics demonstration kitchen. The teams, Vision and Sorted, turned out in force to vie for top honours. The challenge? A monumental Pressure Test, designed by professional chef and culinary teacher Clive Morin. The teams were given 10 minutes to view the recipes, and then just 1 hour and 15 minutes to plate the dishes of their lives. Professional standard dishes, each consisting of a number of difficult and technical elements.

The pressure is on. Who will win?

Running in parallel with the Pressure Test was the Taste Test, and a number of Skills Test. The Taste Test involved a dish prepared by our very own Matt Preston (see below), consisting of 18 ingredients. The teams had to taste the dish, and using every ounce of culinary knowledge they possessed, correctly name as many of the ingredients as possible. The Skills Tests involved two challenges: The Julienne Carrot, and Rice Measuring. The Julienne Carrot involved contestants using their knife skills to match a beautiful Julienne prepared by Clive Morin. The Rice Measuring involved contestants measuring out 250 grams of rice by guessing, without the use of any measuring devices.

As the night went on, and the teams battled it out, the pressure mounted and mistakes happened. Team Vision dropped a whole tray of Panna Cottas, almost spelling the end of the main element. Team Sorted started their Salmon 45 minutes from the end of the challenge. But somehow, someway, both teams pulled it together despite the odds, and plated unbelievable food of a professional standard.

Entree – Avacado Nest, with Wild Rocket Salad, Mango, Chilli, and Coriander Salsa, Seared Prawns, and Sweet Potato Chips.

Who was the winner? Teamwork. Teamwork was the winner. Actually, no. One of the teams won. But you’ll have to wait until later in the year to find that out.

THE MILENNIUM (1000 YEARS OF CHRIST’S RULE IN PEACE)
Isaiah 11v6 The wolf also shall dwell with the lamb, and the leopard shall lie down with the kid; and the calf and the young lion and the fatling together; and a little child shall lead them. 7 And the cow and the bear shall feed; their young ones shall lie down together: and the lion shall eat straw like the ox. 8 And the sucking child shall play on the hole of the asp, and the weaned child shall put his hand on the cockatrice’ den. 9 They shall not hurt nor destroy in all my holy mountain: for the earth shall be full ofthe knowledge of the LORD, as the waters cover the sea.

THE JUDGEMENT AND EVERLASTING LIFE
Daniel 12v2 And many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt. 3 And they that be wise shall shine as the brightness of the firmament; and they that turn many to righteousness as the stars for ever and ever.

To the horn-blower in the tower, it is given, it is yours.

Do not think or ponder upon the greatness of this plight,
For Jesus yoke is easy and his burden it is light,
And the power He has given will enable us to be,
The horn-blower in the tower with the Word to make men free.

Repent and be baptised as the Word of God commands,
Recieve the Holy Spirit and immediately speak in tongues,
For this is the message that we are called to bring,
As horn-blowers in the tower, for Jesus Christ our King.

You may be old or you may be young, but, have you ever stopped to ask yourself: ‘What is life really all about?’

Jesus Christ came to give abundant life (John 10v10) and everlasting life. Are you experiencing abundant life? Or, is your life the same as the illustration above?

The Bible speaks of an experience that brings the believer in Jesus Christ into a close relationship with the living God. Sin is forgiven,the soul is saved, a peace of mind in a troubled world and physical healing for the body.

Those who truly believe in Jesus Christ experience the power and miracles of God in their lives (Mark 16v16-18) and are truly set free (John 8v36). Why accept anything less?

The Bible is God’s Word and it tells us to believe in the Lord Jesus Christ (John 6v28-29), to repent of our sin, be baptised (immersed in water) and receive the Gift of the Holy Spirit (Acts 2v37-38). When you receive the Holy Spirit you will immediately speak in tongues (Acts 2v4; 10v44-46). This is the new birth and it can be your experience today.
